We’ve been developing, building and managing websites since 2004, so we know what we’re doing when it comes to websites.

Nick Lazar is also a filmmaker, with a filmaking Masters from the University of Sussex with over a dozen short films under his belt. He brings this expertise to bear with any video production projects you may use us for.

We’ve worked on a diverse range of projects for clients both large and small across a variety of industries. Some of our customers have been with us for over ten years, so we must be doing something right.

We will always ask you what budget you have in mind. Every website is different, and some are more complex than others. It depends on how interactive they are, whether we are providing graphic design, SEO and digital marketing and a whole bunch of other variables. If we know up front what budget you are working with, we can then accurately work out what we can offer within the budget you give us. As a rough guide, our websites start from around £2,000.

In a word, yes. We charge ongoing monthly fees for hosting and support. Why? Well, hosting is one of our largest ongoing expenses, and takes time and expertise to manage. We use a combination of dedicated servers and Virtual Private Servers (VPS), so we’re able to offer a secure, reliable and robust hosting environment. Our main servers are backed up to geographically diverse servers, so in the event of a catastrophe, we can still recover your website.

Bundled in with hosting is support. Support includes not just fixing anything that might break, but providing you with help when you need to update your site, but may not have time to do it, or have forgotten how. We include half an hour of (non-accumulating) support time for such instances each month.

When we take on your project, we will communicate with you during each step of the development process, and you will sign off on each phase before we move onto the next. This way, we avoid omissions and surprises.

We build all our websites in Expression Engine CMS. We’ve been using Expression Engine since 2010, so have a high degree of experience and expertise with it. We have built large, membership based sites, e-commerce sites, gamification apps and lots of small business websites using Expression Engine, so it is a very flexible and reliable system.

Wordpress is the most used and abused CMS on the web. The main problem with Wordpress is security. Because so many sites are built in Wordpress, it’s a prime target for hackers and scammers. If you are not using the latest version or you have third party plugins or a third party theme, (which most sites do), you are vulnerable. Plugins and themes are the weakest point in the Wordpress eco-system, and are sometimes a source of malware in their own right, as there is no quality control for them. Don’t take my word for it, just Google ‘Wordpress vulnerabilities’.

Whilst nothing on the Internet is truly secure, Expression Engine is a far more secure system. Granted, not everything relating to security is down to the CMS, (the hosting server is a major component) but in thirteen years we have never had a security issue with Expression Engine, but have had many customers approach us after they've had their Wordpress site hacked. It’s also a very flexible, customisable and easy to use CMS. The trick is having someone who knows what they are doing to set it up. Which we do.

Yes. We can purchase and manage your domain names. If, at some point, you decide to move away from us, we will transfer any domains we have registered for you to a registrar account of your choosing.

Yes, we can setup, host and manage your email using a choice of third party service providers such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Migadu or Zoho Mail. If you require a more secure email environment we can use Hushmail, Tutanota or ProtonMail, depending on your requirements. All email services are integrated with your domain name.

All our websites are built with SEO in mind, and we provide basic SEO services with all our new websites. If you want more detailed and specific SEO and digital marketing services, we can quote you for this separately. We also provide video marketing and video production services.

Yes we can. We can tie this in with a digital marketing strategy, or just set it up as a stand alone service. Email marketing is still one of the most effective ways to communicate with your customers and prospects. If you have a legitimate mailing list, then you have an audience that wants to receive useful information from you. We can setup your email marketing on a platform like Campaign Monitor or Mailchimp and help you build your mailing list via your website and social media.
